BIDS FOR POLICE DEPT. DODGE CHARGERS

The Board of Commissioner of the Town of Littleton will accept sealed bids for the purchase of a white 2008 Dodge Charger 5.7 hemi, minimum bid $500, and a blue 2008 Dodge Charger 5.7 hemi, minimum bid $1500. Sealed bids may be submitted to the office of the Town Clerk, 112 E. South Main St., by Monday, October 25, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. The bids will be opened at the Round Table Monthly Board Meeting Monday, October 25, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids. OPENING FOR TOWN CLERK/FINANCE OFFICER

The Town of Littleton is accepting applications for a full-time Town Clerk/Finance Officer. Responsibilities include maintenance of official public records and all town board proceedings, payroll, AP/AR, budgeting, and a variety of fiscal and administrative duties. Prior municipal government experience a plus. Application may be obtained online at townoflittleton-nc.us and will be accepted with an attached cover letter and resume through August 31, 2021. FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Town of Littleton will be flushing fire hydrants for the next week, July 8 -16th. You may notice discolored water. If so, please run water through your faucet until it runs clear.

PUBLIC HEARING JULY 26, 2021

Notice is given that on Monday, July 26, 2021, beginning at the 6:30 p.m. meeting located at Town Hall, 112 E. South Main Street in Littleton, the Littleton Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinances to (1) authorize short term residential rental units in the commercial zoning district and (2) to rezone parcel number 0704175 located on North Mosby Avenue from Residential to Commercial. Details of the proposal are available for public inspection at the Littleton Town Clerk’s office.

PUBLIC HEARING MAY 24, 2021

Notice is given that Monday, May 24, 2021, beginning at the 6:30 p.m. meeting located at Town Hall, 112 E. South Main Street in Littleton, the Littleton Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a comprehensive amendment to the land use and zoning ordinances as a result of legislation adopted by the General Assembly and codified in Chapter 160D of the General Statutes. Details of the proposed changes are available for public inspection at the Littleton Town Clerk’s office. Public comments will be accepted up to 24 hours following the public hearing.

TOWN MEETINGS AT TOWN HALL AGAIN

All town meetings are now being held at Town Hall and remotely through Zoom. The town is following the 3′ social distancing per CDC guidelines. If you are wanting to attend, please contact Town Hall at 586-2709 to make sure we have available space to stay within those guidelines. There is room at Town Hall for 12 people to attend to maintain the 3′ social distancing guideline. Thanks!
