The Town of Littleton Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at its August 10, 2017 meeting beginning at 4:00 p.m. located at Town Hall, 112 E. The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Littleton will hold a Called Special Meeting on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 9:00 am at the Town Hall, 112 E. South Main Street. The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates for full time positions and any other business presented before the Board.  The Board will immediately go into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to NCGS 143-318-11(6) to consider discuss a personnel matter.

NO PARKING ON SOUTH MAIN 6/28-6/30

The NCDOT has notified us that they will be paving on South Main Street tomorrow through the rest of the week. They request that any cars that are parked on South Main be moved by tomorrow morning. Any vehicles parked there whose owners they cannot locate, they will tow.

The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates for full time positions and any other business presented before the Board.  The Board will immediately go into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to NCGS 143-318-11(6) to consider qualifications of applicants.

Yard Debris Pickup Monday 6/12

Yard Debris will be picked up Monday 6/12 to allow time to clean yards and bring debris to the curb.

 

This is to allow residents time to clean up after last night’s storm. The town is unable to collect entire trees, but can collect limbs and sticks following the usual regulations:

 

  • Curbside brush and yard debris will be collected from the residences inside the town limits of Littleton, NC.
  • Loose leaves (not bagged) will be collected from the residences inside the town limits of Littleton, NC during the fall months.
  • Leaves, grass clippings, and pine straw must not be bagged. Bags will not be picked up by the contractor. Place debris by sidewalk and edge of yard, not on the curb or in the storm drain. Limbs and trimmings may be no longer than 5 feet and no bigger than 5 inches in diameter.
  • No commercial yard/garden debris is allowed. Contractors must remove debris, the town will not pick it up. No household/kitchen trash is allowed.
  • Please read this notice for additional limitations.
